Ayurvedic Retreats

One of the biggest gifts you can offer yourself is the gift of health. Health comes in many forms and one way we find this is by first being still and then listening. Being on retreat is one of the best ways to be still and then to listen. A Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic whole body and mind detox. Panchakarma (meaning five actions) is a cleansing and rejuvenating program for every cell in the body, where Ama (toxins) are removed from deep corners of the body, into the gastro-intestinal tract and thereby elminiated as waste products. This process is a natural one and is used in conjuction with traditinally prepared herbal medicines, massge techniques and other Ayurvedic healing tools. Each program is specifically devised for the individual according to their current state of health only after an initialy consultation with a trained Ayurvedic doctor.

An Ayurvedic Panchakarma retreat schedule involves but is not restricted to the following:

6am Wake up for morning herbal medicine

6:30am Morning Yoga

8am Breakfast

9-11am Main Panchakarma treatment

11am Herbal medicine

Midday - Daily consultation with Ayurvedic Doctor

1pm Lunch

2pm Afternoon herbal medicine

2-4pm Second Panchakarma treatment

6pm Evening Yoga and Meditation

7pm Dinner

8pm Evening herbal medicine

9pm Rest
